South West British Shorthair Cat Club

 

GCCF (the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy) was established in 1910 to regulate
the showing and breeding of cats of all breeds to ensure the health and welfare of these cats.

The British Shorthair Breed Advisory Commitee works in the interests of British Shorthair cats by monitoring the training and performance of the Judges on its list and candidates within its scheme, and by reviewing its Standard of Points and Registration Policy and amending them if and when required, with due consideration to the health and future of the breed.

International Cat Care (formerly known as the Feline Advisory Bureau) is a

charity dedicated to improving the health, welfare and care of all cats. 

For over 60 years they have been raising the standard of treatment and

care provided to cats by veterinary surgeons, boarding cattery operators,

those involved in rescue work, breeders and, of course, cat owners by providing the best information possible.
